Alternative Research #4 - The "Un-Research" Project In-Person
A twist on the traditional annotated bibliography assignment, the "Un-Research" assignment provides students with insight into the idea of scholarship as a conversation while highlighting the students' voices and contributions as well.
Initially developed by Allison Hosier (SUNY Albany), this assignment should help students evaluate an information source’s role or significance in the overall research project, and help students develop their voice around a topic of inquiry before they attempt to infuse evidence and sources into the text of their projects. Our workshop will discuss the project and its possible implications and modifications for various disciplines.
